Editorial Standards
How we work.
WAYPOINT & CO is an editorial publication first. Everything we publish is written by named editors and contributors, edited a second time, and fact-checked before it appears.
Independence
Editorial recommendations are made on merit alone. Our writing is not for sale and we do not accept sponsored articles or paid placements within editorial. The judgement of what we cover, and how, remains with our editors.
Four kinds of work
The house produces four distinct kinds of work, and we treat them separately.
Editorial — essays, guides and reporting published in the Journal and section pages. Independent, edited, fact-checked.
Studio — our hospitality and brand consultancy, working directly for a small number of clients. Studio projects may appear on the site with clear labelling; they are never presented as editorial recommendations.
Partner projects — collaborations with operators, properties or brands whose values align with ours. Where a partner appears within editorial, that relationship is disclosed on the page.
Curated experiences — private gatherings, hosted retreats and journeys we assemble through a trusted network. These are labelled as such and are separate from editorial coverage.
Disclosure
When a contributor has stayed as a guest of a property, taken a press flight, or has a personal or professional relationship with a subject, we disclose it clearly in the piece. Where an article touches a Studio client or a partner, the relationship is stated near the byline.
Accuracy
We check facts before publication and correct errors promptly. Corrections are noted at the foot of the article, dated, and never quietly amended.
Sources
We name our sources unless doing so would compromise their safety or privacy. We do not run rumour.
Photography
Where possible we commission original photography. When we license, we credit properly.
