Reading the Weather with a Captain

The forecast that matters at sea is rarely the one on the app. A morning aboard, listening.

A well-run superyacht charter is a strange and quiet thing. The manifest of experiences is small: swim, eat, read, swim again. The list of decisions has been taken off you.

To make that possible, a great deal of work happens before you step aboard. Provisioning lists cross three time zones. The captain has scouted anchorages. The chef has read your dietary notes twice. What you experience as effortlessness is a machine.

What We Cover

In this section we write about how superyacht charters are structured, what makes a great captain, when to charter in Australian waters versus the Mediterranean, and how to think about a first week on the water.
