Noosa, through one contact.

Private residences, days on the water, aviation, local experiences and the details around your stay, considered together.

The office

A private travel office for Noosa.

Most of a good Noosa stay is decided in the details around it.

Where you stay. How you arrive. Whether the boat day works with the weather. Where lunch is worth settling into. What is waiting at the house. Who drives. What should be booked early and what is better decided that morning.

WAYPOINT brings those parts together through one relationship. The arrangement works whether you are staying in a private residence, a hotel on Hastings Street, your own home or with friends.

We plan the destination around the way you want to spend your time.

Availability, operators and individual arrangements are confirmed at the time of enquiry.

01Stay

Stay well, then stay put.

Noosa is a destination where the place you stay changes the whole rhythm of the week. A house on the Sound means lunch by boat. Little Cove means walking into the National Park before breakfast. Sunshine Beach brings architecture, ocean and a quieter neighbourhood. Twenty minutes inland and Noosa becomes acreage, rainforest and cooler evenings. We look at the stay as the base for everything around it, not simply somewhere to sleep.

Private residences

Noosa does private homes particularly well. The best are defined less by decorative luxury and more by position, architecture, privacy, living space and how naturally the house works for the people staying there.

  • 01

    Domic Noosa

    Sunshine Beach

Architecture / Beachfront / Private residence

A benchmark for the Noosa private residence market. Strong architecture, direct connection to the coast and enough space for the house itself to become part of the experience rather than simply the accommodation.

Referenced as a benchmark property. Access and availability confirmed separately.

  • 02

    Ghost Estate on the Sound

    Noosa Sound

Waterfront / Private jetty / Groups

A private jetty changes the shape of a Noosa stay. The boat can become transport rather than an excursion. Lunch on the river, an afternoon on the sandbanks, or a day offshore can begin directly from home.

  • 03

    10 Noosa Parade

    Noosa Heads / Noosa Sound

Waterfront / Private residence / Groups

Close to Hastings Street but with the space and independence of a private residence.

Property access and booking arrangements confirmed during planning.

  • 04

    Raintrees

    Little Cove

Rainforest / National Park / Walkable

Little Cove at its best. Wake early, walk through the National Park, swim on the way home and leave the car where it is.

  • 05

    Osprey

    Peregian Beach

    Beachfront / Architecture / Groups

For guests wanting the coast without needing to be in the middle of Noosa Heads.

  • 06

    Boonburrh

    Noosa

Architecture / Laguna Bay / Groups

A design-led Noosa residence with the destination immediately around it.

  • 07

    Laguna Bay Vista

    Noosa Heads

    Architecture / Views / Groups

A Noosa Heads base where the view and the house carry as much weight as the itinerary.

Hotels

If the week should revolve around Main Beach, Hastings Street and walking almost everywhere, a hotel remains the simplest answer.

  • 01

    Elysium Noosa

    Hastings Street

Hotel / Main Beach / Wellness

The reimagined Hastings Street resort and a significant new chapter for the Noosa hotel market.

  • 02

    Netanya Noosa

    Hastings Street

    Beachfront / Apartment-style / Main Beach

Directly on the beach and easy for guests wanting apartment-style space without leaving Hastings Street.

  • 03

    Tingirana Noosa

    Hastings Street

    Beachfront / Pool / Walk-everywhere

A straightforward Main Beach base where most of Noosa Heads is reached on foot.

  • 04

    No.1 Hastings

    Hastings Street

    Apartment-style / Laguna Bay / Longer stays

Better suited to guests wanting residential space while remaining in the centre of Noosa.

Hinterland

The other side of Noosa.

Twenty minutes inland, the destination changes completely. The air cools. Houses open onto acreage instead of the beach. The roads narrow. Eumundi, Doonan, Cooroy, Pomona and Kin Kin begin to make sense as part of Noosa rather than somewhere beyond it.

  • 01

    Amar

    Doonan

    Architecture / Views / Wellness

A Paul Clout-designed residence and a strong expression of contemporary Noosa hinterland architecture.

  • 02

    Casa Renoir

    Eumundi

    Design / Wellness / Hinterland

A warmer, more Mediterranean interpretation of the hinterland stay.

  • 03

    Bundaleer Retreat Noosa

    Doonan

    Rainforest / Wellness / Groups

A retreat-style alternative for guests wanting privacy and space outside the coastal strip.

  • 04

    Thirlestane Farm

    Cooroy

Farm / Family / Slow stay

For a version of Noosa where mornings start on the property rather than on Hastings Street.

Field note

We would happily split a longer Noosa journey between the coast and hinterland, but for most stays we prefer one good base and fewer movements.

02Concierge

The details around the stay.

This is where a good trip becomes an easy one. Some things should be arranged before you arrive. Others are better decided over coffee after checking the weather. WAYPOINT coordinates both.

01

Before you arrive

The week is largely won before anyone gets on an aircraft.

  • Itinerary planning across the stay
  • Airport transfers and private aviation coordination
  • Private driver and vehicle arrangements
  • Pantry and household provisioning
  • Restaurant planning and reservations
  • Boat and experience planning
  • Residence preparation where applicable
  • Arrival timing and key coordination
02

At the residence

The house should remain the quiet part of the trip.

  • Private chefs and in-house dining
  • Housekeeping coordination
  • Massage and wellness
  • Yoga and Pilates
  • Personal training
  • Nanny and family support where appropriate
  • Flowers and table settings
  • Small private event support
  • Personal errands and local assistance
03

While you're here

Some of Noosa's best days should not be locked into a spreadsheet three months ahead. The wind changes. The surf comes up. Someone wants another day on the boat. Lunch runs late. We leave room for that.

  • Restaurant planning
  • Private boat days
  • Surfing
  • Golf
  • K'gari
  • Everglades
  • Hinterland days
  • Drivers and local transfers
  • Last-minute local assistance

03Sea

The water is half of Noosa.

The Noosa River, Laguna Bay and the coast north towards Double Island Point are completely different days on the water. The right vessel depends on the party, the weather, the tide and what the day is actually for. We work out the day first, then match the boat to it.

Understated private day boat on the Noosa River in the middle of the day
  1. 01

River, sunset and lunch by boat

The quieter version of Noosa. Leave mid-morning. Stop on a sandbank. Swim. Move upriver for lunch. Stay longer than planned. Head home as the afternoon light settles over the river. A boat can also simply become transport. Residence to lunch. Lunch to sunset drinks. No car required.

Two to three hours / half day / lunch transfer

  2. 02

    Private day boat

For a group wanting the day to remain flexible. Laguna Bay when conditions suit. The river when they do not. Swimming, sandbanks, lunch and enough freedom to change the plan at breakfast.

    Half day / full day

  3. 03

    Offshore and Double Island Point

North of the headland, the coastline opens. Long beaches, clearer water and places that feel considerably further from Noosa than they actually are. This is a weather-led day. We would rather hold the right day for it than force the wrong one.

    Full day / conditions dependent

  4. 04

    K'gari by water

For the right vessel, conditions and itinerary, K'gari can become part of a broader private boat day. Operational suitability is confirmed before the route is proposed.

  5. 05

    Larger yacht access

Where the party or journey warrants it, WAYPOINT can source larger vessels and explore longer coastal charter options. We do not present a fixed fleet. The vessel is selected for the actual trip.

The river bar, tide and afternoon north-easter matter more than the brochure.

04Air

How you arrive, and where you go from here.

Noosa sits within easy reach of Sunshine Coast Airport and within a short flight of several places worth adding to a journey. WAYPOINT identifies the right aircraft and verified operator for the route. We do not own or operate aircraft.

01

Arrive privately

The arrival should be the uncomplicated part. WAYPOINT can coordinate private aviation into the Sunshine Coast where the aircraft, route and operating requirements allow. From there, the last sector into Noosa is considered as part of the journey.

  • Sydney → Sunshine Coast
  • Melbourne → Sunshine Coast
  • Hamilton Island → Sunshine Coast
  • Regional Australia → Sunshine Coast
  • Private vehicle and helicopter transfers, depending on the journey
02

Fly from Noosa

The short flights are sometimes the ones that change the trip entirely. K'gari by air: see the island properly before setting foot on it, then a day on the ground built around the tide and conditions.

  • Lady Elliot and the reef, where season, aircraft and conditions align
  • Private and scenic helicopter movements, coastal and regional
  • Noosa → Whitsundays
  • Noosa → Sydney
  • Noosa → Tasmania
  • Noosa → another waypoint

Aircraft, operator and airport suitability are confirmed for each individual trip. One journey brief can continue beyond the destination.

05Experience

The days between.

Noosa does not need an attraction list. The better approach is to build a handful of good days around the weather, the people travelling and how much they actually want to do.

Early morning on the coastal track through Noosa National Park
01Before breakfast

National Park, early

Noosa Heads / Little Cove

Start around 6am. Main Beach is only waking up. Coffee in hand, take the boardwalk towards the National Park and continue past Little Cove while the water is still quiet. Tea Tree Bay if the conditions are good. Granite Bay if everyone keeps walking. Swim on the way home. Then breakfast.

This is not something that needs organising. It simply needs protecting in the itinerary.

Long lunch table set beside the coast under filtered light
02One long lunch or dinner

The Noosa table

Main Beach / Noosa Sound / Tewantin

Food is part of the geography here. Bistro C for lunch beside Main Beach. The Pelican Boat Hire area and the Marina precinct towards Tewantin for an evening on the river. Lucio's Marina when the table, party and evening suit it.

The destination works better when meals are treated as anchors in the day, rather than something fitted around activities.

03Half day into afternoon

River to lunch

Noosa River

Take the boat rather than the car. Stop somewhere shallow for a swim. Move with the river. Arrive at lunch without needing to think about parking. Stay longer than expected.

The return becomes part of the afternoon.

Narrow country road winding through the green hinterland behind Noosa
04One day inland

The other side of Noosa

Doonan / Eumundi / Cooroy / Kin Kin

Take the road away from the coast. Move through Doonan and Eumundi, then further north and inland. Finish at The Woodshed at Kin Kin for dinner.

One of the easiest ways to make a week in Noosa feel considerably larger without moving accommodation.

Still tea-coloured water reflecting paperbarks on the upper Noosa River
05Morning

Everglades, early

Upper Noosa River

The upper river is quieter, darker and considerably more removed from the beach version of Noosa. Tea-coloured water. Paperbarks. Reflections. Very little noise.

Go early and keep the group small.

06Slow afternoon

Gympie Terrace afternoon

Noosaville

Not every day needs to be designed. Take a BBQ boat onto the river. Swim. Stop on the sand. Bring lunch.

Come back when everyone is ready.

07Late afternoon into dinner

Sunset at Bandita

Noosa Junction

One of the easiest transitions from beach day to evening. Sunset drink, then Mexican at Bandita.

No ceremony required.

Coffee in hand at the start of the Noosa boardwalk early in the morning
08Early morning

Moonstruck, then the coast

Noosa Heads

Coffee at Moonstruck. Then walk.

Simple enough to become a ritual rather than an itinerary item.

09Half day or full day

Australia Zoo, privately arranged

Beerwah, Sunshine Coast

Just under an hour inland, Australia Zoo remains one of the country's most distinctive wildlife experiences. For guests staying privately in Noosa, it works best as a structured half-day or full-day arrangement rather than a spontaneous visit.

Arranged properly — timing, transport and the right level of access — it becomes a considered extension of a Sunshine Coast stay rather than a day trip.

WAYPOINT CONCIERGE

A private wildlife day, arranged around your stay.

Platinum Zoo Adventure

A privately guided experience offering deeper access across the park, with transfers and timing coordinated around your Noosa base.

Hire a Caddie Tour

A hosted introduction to the park with a dedicated guide, ideal for families or first-time visitors wanting structure without complexity.

06Journeys

How we would do it.

These are not packages. They are useful shapes for a Noosa stay, deliberately leaving room for weather, water and changing your mind.

01

Five nights — Noosa proper.

Noosa Heads / Little Cove / Sunshine Beach

  • Day one — Arrive. Settle into the house. Dinner somewhere close.
  • Day two — National Park early. Long lunch at Bistro C. Nothing scheduled afterwards.
  • Day three — Private boat. River or offshore depending on conditions.
  • Day four — Hinterland. Eumundi, Doonan and Kin Kin. Dinner at The Woodshed.
  • Day five — Beach morning. Free afternoon. Sunset and dinner.
  • Day six — Coffee, one last swim, departure.

One base. No unnecessary movement.

02

Seven nights — Noosa, slower.

One private residence or hotel for the full week

  • Day one — Arrival and the house.
  • Day two — National Park, Main Beach and a long lunch.
  • Day three — Noosa River. Sandbanks. Lunch by boat.
  • Day four — Nothing planned until dinner.
  • Day five — K'gari or aviation day, conditions permitting.
  • Day six — Hinterland drive. Kin Kin.
  • Day seven — Use the day again. Boat, beach, golf, lunch or nothing at all.
  • Day eight — Departure.

This is the version we would choose ourselves.

03

Three nights — Hinterland extension.

Doonan → Eumundi → Cooroy → Pomona → Kin Kin

Add three nights after the coast or make this a small journey of its own. Architecture, acreage, markets, country roads and a completely different pace. The point is not to see every town. It is to experience the Noosa region beyond the beach.

Onward

Noosa does not need to be the end of the journey.

WAYPOINT can connect Noosa with the next place through the same brief.

  • Noosa → WhitsundaysPrivate aircraft. Hamilton Island residence. Yacht day.
  • Noosa → TasmaniaPrivate charter or commercial connection. Residence, lodge or road journey.
  • Noosa → SydneyAir, stay and onward planning.

One contact can remain across the journey.

Field note

A note on Noosa.

Noosa is easy to over-plan because everything looks close. It is also easy to waste by spending the week driving between reservations.

The version we know is simpler. National Park early. Coffee at Moonstruck. Swim if the bay is good. Lunch at Bistro C without a finishing time. Take the river when the afternoon wind arrives.

Spend one day inland. Have dinner at The Woodshed. Do very little on at least one afternoon. Go to Bandita at sunset. Stay somewhere you are happy to come back to before dark.

There is plenty to do in Noosa. That does not mean you should do all of it.

Waypoint / Noosa

Tell us how you want to spend your time.

We'll work backwards from there. Private residence. Hotel. Aircraft. Boat. Dinner. Family. A week doing very little. Start with what matters to you and let us build the Noosa around it.
